SHOOT FOR A CURE

Shoot For A Cure is an upcoming high school girls’ basketball tournament taking place at Ryerson University, but the tourni is more than just shooting hoops and playing ball – all the proceeds raised will go toward the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.

Before the first round of games begin, there will be a presentation on teamwork, competition, health and the realities of breast cancer from high-profile coaching staff, Team Canada players, and members of the Breast Cancer Foundation and we’re honoured to say that our Gerrard street location is fueling the teammates and attendees with a fresh pizza dinner.

And you know, we always like to have a little fun, so during the basketball tournament, we’ll be engaging with the audience on Twitter and giving away #RandomActsOfPizza gift certificates to the crowd as they take part in halftime games and shenanigans! But in all sincerity, it’s because of events like this that the Ontario region of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation awarded over $8.4 million in research and fellowship grants across the province in 2013 alone. So if you’re in Toronto on October 9th, join us at the Kerr Hall Gymnasium and let’s have a great time for an even greater cause! #CommunityMatters
